Privacy Policy

    Last Updated: September 4, 2026

Welcome to Scalnex.ai ("Scalnex", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website, applications, and services.

    1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, company or website information, and any content you upload to or create on the platform (such as keywords, articles and website URLs).

When you connect a third-party account to Scalnex (for example Google Search Console or Google Analytics), we receive data from that account as described in the "Google User Data" section below.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and how you interact with the platform, through cookies and similar technologies.

    2. Google User Data

Scalnex integrates with Google services so that we can measure and improve the search performance of your website. When you sign in with Google or connect a Google account, we request only the permissions (OAuth scopes) needed for the features you use:

    • Google Sign-In: your name, email address and profile picture, used to create and secure your Scalnex account.
    • Google Search Console: the list of properties you own, and search performance data for the properties you choose to connect (queries, clicks, impressions, average position, indexing and crawl status).
    • Google Analytics: the list of your Analytics properties and traffic metrics (sessions, users, page views, conversions and similar reporting data) for the properties you choose to connect.
    • Google Ads: the list of your Ads accounts and campaign performance data for the accounts you choose to connect.

How we use Google user data. We use this data solely to provide the Scalnex features you request: showing your rankings, traffic and indexing status in your dashboard, tracking the performance of content published through Scalnex, and generating keyword, content and technical SEO recommendations for your website. Where Google user data (for example keyword and ranking metrics) is used as an input to AI-generated recommendations, it is processed only by the AI service providers listed in the "With Whom We Share Your Information" section, who are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

How we store Google user data. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted on our servers and are used only to make the API requests described above on your behalf. Reporting data retrieved from Google is stored in your account so that we can show historical trends and reports.

How we share Google user data. We do not sell Google user data. We do not share, transfer or disclose Google user data to any third party except (a) to the service providers that host and operate Scalnex on our behalf, as listed below, (b) when you direct us to (for example by exporting a report), (c) as required by law, or (d) as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case you will be notified. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not use it to build or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models, and we do not allow humans to read this data except with your consent, for security or abuse investigations, to comply with the law, or for internal operations where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

Limited Use disclosure. Scalnex's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can read the policy at https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy.

Revoking access. You can disconnect a Google account at any time from the Integrations section of your Scalnex Settings page, or by revoking Scalnex's access from your Google Account security settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect, we delete the associated OAuth tokens immediately and delete the reporting data retrieved from that account within 30 days, unless we are legally required to retain it.

    3. How We Use Information

We use your information to provide, operate and improve our services, personalize your experience, generate SEO analyses and content, communicate with you about your account and our services, provide customer support, monitor and enhance platform security, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms.

    4. AI Processing

Scalnex uses artificial intelligence technologies to analyze data, generate recommendations and create content. Information you submit to the platform, and data retrieved from services you connect, may be processed by AI systems operated by us or by our AI service providers to deliver the services you request. Our AI service providers act as processors on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models or for any purpose other than providing services to us.

    5. With Whom We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information or Google user data. We share, transfer or disclose your information only in the following circumstances:

    • Service providers (subprocessors) that process data on our behalf and under our instructions, limited to what is necessary to provide the services: cloud hosting and database providers (Google Cloud / Firebase and Amazon Web Services), AI model providers used to generate analyses and content, email delivery providers used to send account and transactional emails, and product analytics providers (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) used to understand how our website is used. Google user data is shared only with the hosting, database and AI providers in this list, and only to provide the features you use.
    • Integrations you authorize. When you connect your website or CMS (for example via a publishing webhook) or enable IndexNow, we send the content and URLs you approve to those services. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.
    • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order or governmental request, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
    • Business transfers. If Scalnex is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
    • With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent, for example when you ask us to share a report with a colleague.

We do not share your information with advertising networks, data brokers or any third party for their own marketing purposes.

    6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Google user data is retained only while the relevant Google account remains connected to Scalnex, and is deleted within 30 days after you disconnect it or delete your Scalnex account.

You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page or by emailing [email protected]. After deletion we remove your personal information and connected-account data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for legal, tax or security purposes, in which case it is retained only for as long as required.

    7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, analyze traffic and improve our services. Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for aggregated usage analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some features of the platform.

    8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, encrypted storage of OAuth tokens, access controls, and regular review of our systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    9. International Data Transfers

Scalnex is operated from India and our service providers may store and process data in other countries, including the United States. Where we transfer personal information across borders we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection, including using contractual safeguards with our service providers.

    10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise most of these rights directly from your Settings page, or by contacting us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within the time required by applicable law.

    11. Children's Privacy

Scalnex is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

    12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the platform. Your continued use of Scalnex after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

    13. Contact Us

For any privacy-related questions or requests, including questions about how we handle Google user data, please contact us at [email protected].
